Our company has been providing new employees with professional knowledge and skills and other business training. Previously by the staff as a training instructor, the new staff together, the form of common learning training.
In February this year, the residential design department considered using animation videos to teach the basic knowledge of architecture, and proposed to the general Solution department (the department responsible for animation video production) to entrust the production of video training materials for new employees.
After receiving the entrustment, the comprehensive Solution department immediately made the scheme and quotation, and provided the proposal to the residential design department. The Residential Design Department conducted a trial calculation of cost-effectiveness, and after an in-depth discussion between the two departments, an inter-departmental business commission was finally reached.
The video textbook took nearly two months to complete and was carried in our company's learning system LMS (Learning Management System). The content of the textbook is divided into four parts: the basic knowledge of the design of Japanese wood structure housing, the construction method, the building materials and the related Japanese words.
There are 58 video teaching materials in total, and each video material lasts about 5 minutes. In order to test the employees' understanding of the learning content, a "small test" was set up after watching each video, and a "comprehensive test" was prepared after the course to grasp the learning effect of the employees.
In May this year, the residential design department's craftsman class used the video textbook for the first time in the induction training of new employees. According to the person in charge of the department, with the introduction of video teaching materials, not only the workload of the original staff responsible for training is reduced, but also the work efficiency is improved. At the same time, new employees can learn according to their own progress, thus improving the efficiency and effect of training.
