A Summer Night in Dalian—Strengthening Bonds with Our Customers Over a Toast

From July 17 to August 2, the Dalian International Beer Festival lit up Xinghai Square over 17 vibrant days, marking another celebrated chapter in the city's summer tradition. Since its first edition in 1999, this nationally recognized festival has brought together well-known Chinese brands such as Tsingtao, Snow, Harbin, and Black Lion, alongside Japanese labels including Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo, as well as brewers from Germany, the United States, the Czech Republic, and beyond. For the duration of the festival, the expansive Xinghai Square was transformed into one vast open-air beer garden.
This year's edition reached a new milestone, hosting the largest number of participating brands in the festival's history. Over 100 craft beer labels from across the country made their debut, making the event larger in scale than any previous year. Each booth came alive with live performances and stage shows running throughout the festival, while engaging activities such as beer-drinking competitions drew enthusiastic crowds. On warm summer evenings, Xinghai Square buzzed with energy as local residents and visitors alike gathered to celebrate.
On the evening of July 24, after work hours, Chairman Shiro Hashizume, along with five members of our management team, invited three specialists on long‑term assignment from our Australian group company to join them at the festival. In the relaxed and festive atmosphere of the beer festival, conversation flowed freely beyond the boundaries of work — covering topics ranging from Dalian's food culture to personal observations about life in the city that rarely come up in a professional setting. It was a truly valuable occasion that deepened our mutual understanding and trust through connections extending well beyond the workplace.
