Since May, Dalian has required citizens to carry out normalized PCR test once a week and has set up 2,300 testing spots in the city. The testing spots are within a 15-minute walk in urban areas and waiting time on the site does not exceed 20 minutes. The testing results are sent to the mobile phone within 24 hours.

PCR tests will be conducted separately for men and women, targeting male citizens on Tuesdays and female citizens on Thursdays. In addition, both men and women can have a PCR test on Saturday if they missed the Tuesday or Thursday tests. On other days of the week, tests are only conducted at some PCR test spots, it is intended for people who visit Dalian, those who have returned to Dalian, and those who could not take it on the designated day.

There is also a comment that if men and women in each family are tested on different days of the week, it is equivalent to 2 test per family per week, and the risks can be identified more effectively.

For those who have not undergone the PCR test for 7 days or more, the color of the "traffic code" on the mobile phone will become gray, and public transportation and food supermarkets will not be available for them.
